All fees shown are standard (non-VIP) rates. MEXC charges 0% maker on both spot and futures. Spot taker is 0.05% โ€” half of Binance's, OKX's, and KuCoin's standard 0.10%. USDT-M futures taker is 0.02% โ€” Bybit charges 0.055% (2.75x more), Binance and OKX charge 0.05% (2.5x more). Coinbase Advanced retail is 0.60% spot taker, ~12x more expensive than MEXC.

How This Calculator Works

This calculator uses the standard (non-VIP) fee rates published by each exchange. Enter a trade amount in USD, select spot or futures trading, and choose maker or taker order type. The calculator multiplies your trade amount by each exchange's published fee percentage to show the exact dollar cost per trade.

Maker orders add liquidity to the order book (limit orders placed away from the current price). Taker orders remove liquidity (market orders or immediately-filled limit orders). Most traders execute a mix of both, but taker fees are more common for active traders who want instant execution.

The comparison includes 17 centralized exchanges (CEX) and 8 decentralized exchanges (DEX). DEX fees shown exclude gas and network costs, which can add $0.50 to $50+ per transaction depending on the blockchain and network congestion. MEXC, as a centralized exchange, has no gas fees โ€” you only pay the trading fee shown.

Why MEXC Has the Lowest Fees

MEXC's fee structure is unusually aggressive at the standard (VIP 0) tier: 0% maker on both spot and futures, 0.05% spot taker, and just 0.02% USDT-M futures taker โ€” with no volume requirements. Every major competitor charges between 2.5x and 12x more for spot takers.

To put it in perspective: a $10,000 spot taker trade costs $5 on MEXC vs $10 on Binance and $60 on Coinbase. With 30 trades a month, that's $180/year saved vs Binance and $1,980/year saved vs Coinbase โ€” real money that compounds over time.

Higher-volume traders can reduce fees further through MEXC's VIP tier system and MX token holdings. Holding 500+ MX grants a 50% spot fee discount, dropping the effective spot taker rate to 0.025%. Top VIP tiers can bring it close to 0.02% โ€” already lower than Binance's top VIP tier of 0.03%.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are MEXC's standard trading fees?
MEXC charges 0% maker on both spot and futures. Spot taker is 0.05% (verified May 2026); USDT-M futures taker is 0.02%. No minimum volume is required at the base tier. This makes MEXC the cheapest major exchange for both spot and futures trading fees.
How much do I save on MEXC compared to Binance?
On a $10,000 spot taker trade, MEXC charges $1.00 while Binance charges $10.00 โ€” a savings of $9.00 per trade. At 30 trades per month, that adds up to $3,240 per year in savings versus Binance.
Does MEXC charge fees on maker orders?
No. MEXC charges 0% on all maker orders (limit orders that add liquidity to the order book) for both spot and futures trading. You only pay fees on taker orders: 0.05% on spot, 0.02% on USDT-M futures.
Are DEX swap fees cheaper than MEXC?
No. Most DEXes charge 0.2โ€“0.3% swap fees plus gas/network fees ($0.50โ€“$50+ depending on the chain). MEXC's 0.02% taker fee is 20โ€“30x cheaper than Uniswap's 0.3% swap fee, and MEXC has no gas fees.
